Brighton-based Night House are delighted to announce the release of their latest single, Unfold, out now via Back In The Woods Records. The brainchild of singer, songwriter and producer Nick Williams (vocals, piano, acoustic guitar, synthesizers, drum machine, mandolin, production), Night House effortlessly blends elements of minimal electronica with atmospheric orchestral arrangements and melancholic vocal segments. Mixed by Dan Brown (Massive Attack, Jerry Williams), Unfold was written for a close friend, lyrically reflecting on lost relationships and how the hurt experienced by both parties will only be temporary. The themes, sonically, pour out from the speakers as Williams’ repeats the line, “If it’s more than you feel you can take, then hold on.”. Aching emotion, gushing through every note.
Ulysses Wells has shared the fierce new video for his single Back With The People, out now via Big Indie Records. Combining elements of the blues, psychedelia, electronica and rock, Wells creates a sound that defies genre and is brimming with attitude. His use of idiosyncratic effects and unusual guitar models, along with nods to forward-thinking artists such as Tame Impala and The Black Keys, gives him a unique edge. Wells’ grit-fuelled vocal is out in full force throughout, sounding akin to the likes of Jack White orDan Auerbach. You can also catch him supporting Bastille on their upcoming UK / EU tour - live dates
