Following their debut release Find A Way, South London duo James Lamb and Richard Craker - aka 11 - have made a welcome return with the infectious new single Best of Me, out on 2nd November 2018.
An internal dialogue centring around themes of insecurities, Best of Me is propelled by funk-fuelled hooks and a buoyant energised groove, with a sound akin to the likes of Passion Pit. Filled with James Lamb’s soul-soaked vocals and frenzied beats, it fuses together an eclectic range of sounds, showcasing the duo’s impeccable production skills, creating an instantly catchy slice of uplifting indie-pop. Of the track Lamb explains: “It's about not allowing negative energy to take you off your path. It's about mind-state, the internal battles that we all have... It's a fight between success and failure, where success is landing all the punches.”
Written, recorded, mixed and mastered at Karma Sound Studios in Thailand - where The Libertines recently recorded their critically-acclaimed ‘Anthems for Doomed Youth’, Best of Me really packs a punch. Having already received acclaim for their debut Find A Way, including being nominated for a UK Music Video Award for ‘Best Pop Newcomer’, 11 now hope to continue charming listeners with the compelling energy and reflective lyricism of this new single.
Best of Me is out on 2nd November 2018.
