“His voice is as flawless and laden with emotion as Jeff Buckley…”
- The Line of Best Fit
Emerging Australian artist Hein Cooper releases his majestic new album Underneath It All, out now via AntiFragile Music.
Defying genre, the album combines electronic, indie-folk and pop sensibilities to create a sound that is completely Hein Cooper’s own. His honeyed vocals soar effortlessly over crisp electronic beats and intricate guitar strums that sound akin to the likes of Chet Faker or Yoke Lore’s unique ability to make ambient alt-pop with an emotive soul. Each track seamlessly weaves together stunning melodies with powerful lyricism, taking the listener on an undeniably immersive journey from the offset.
Since releasing his debut album The Art of Escape, Hein Cooper has gone from strength to strength. He has already received praise from the likes of Clash Magazine, The Line of Best Fit and Atwood Magazine to name a few, as well as supporting prestigious artists such as James Bay, Lukas Graham, Peter, Bjorn and John and Edward Sharp and The Magnetic Zeros. His tracks have seen spins on Spotify’s New Music Friday, Acoustic Hits, Triple J Hitlist and Folk & Friends playlists, as well as on Apple Music’s What’s New, Mellow Springtime and Best of the Week playlists. With Underneath It All, Hein Cooper hopes to captivate listeners further with his calming blend of dreamy-electronica.
