Following on from the recent success of their anthemic EP, Holy Lights And Shadows, Edinburgh four-piece Gypsy Circus are gearing up to release their latest single, Thin Ice, out on 13th September 2019.
Stylishly combing indie, rock and pop, the quartet effortlessly bridge the gap between contemporary and classic rock sensibilities. Opening with chiming guitar segments and a snappy drum beat, Thin Ice builds energetically throughout, culminating in a euphoric chorus perfectly complimented by the gravelly, emotive vocals of Aaron King.
Formed in 2017, Gypsy Circus recorded their first EP at Post Electric Studio in Edinburgh with producer and Idlewild guitarist Rod Jones. Despite their relative infancy as a band, Gypsy Circus began to gain a reputation for their electric live performances culminating in co-headlining The Big Takeover Weekend in Shetland.
Alongside the lead vocals of Aaron King, Gypsy Circus are comprised of Michael Mackay (guitar), Shaun Alderman (bass) and Calum Thomson (drums). Having extensively toured in the 2 short years since they assembled, Gypsy Circus have picked up support from fans and press alike including The Scotsman, Little Indie Blogs, BBC Alba and Amazing Radio to name but a few. Now, with Thin Ice to land in September and another single planned before the end of 2019, Gypsy Circus will be aiming to finish the year on a high.
Thin Ice is out on 13th September 2019.
