Charlie Davidson

Charlie Davidson is a singer songwriter and producer hailing from from the east of Scotland. Having been given a Casio keyboard at the age of nine years old, Charlie’s love of writing and creating lush, sparkling pop songs was born from an early age.

Honing his craft over the years, Charlie began to develop skills in production. What began as basic experimentation using a PC and sound recorder, expanded into full-scale production and laid the foundations for the artist he is today. The result of which has led to Charlie’s music previously being featured on BBC Introducing Scotland, earning recognition as a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition and most recently signing a publishing deal with Grammy-winning songwriter and producer Eliot Kennedy’s Steelworks Songs company.

Charlie’s scintillating sound takes inspiration from an eclectic range of artists. Melding the poignant lyricism of Lewis Capaldi and the slick melodies of Justin Jesso with the rich harmonies of Fleetwood Mac and playfulness of Kelly Clarkson, Charlie straddles the line between classic and contemporary.

Debut single HeartStop perfectly encapsulates Charlie’s music. A shimmering pop debut, HeartStop marks his arrival with unapologetic energy and sparkle. Showcasing his flair for vibrant production and hook-driven songwriting, Charlie Davidson is crafting a sound that’s emotionally grounded, melodically rich – and made to stick.

HeartStop is out on 22nd August.
