Moneytree's latest EP, The Great Indoors III, has received yet another outstanding review, this time from the people at Geeks.co.uk.
"Moneytree’s The Great Indoors III EP is a swinging, caustic stonerjam which splices laid back pan-handle beats and zipping, layered; sometimes uneasy guitar lines." - Geeks.co.uk

Moneytree at the Old Blue Last reviewed by Geeks.co.uk

If you were sat at home last Wednesday evening watching The Apprentice, then shame on you! You missed a great show at the Old Blue Last, and it's not often you get Wayter, Gin Panic and Moneytree on the same bill. You won't find the writers at Geeks.co.uk huddled up on the couch when something this epic goes down and, true to form, they were there, in the crowd, casting their critical eye over the proceedings.
"Intelligent guitar driven indie rock with a hint of Greenwood for all the Radiohead fans to get their pearlies into. An outstanding set and definitely ones to watch." - Geeks.co.uk

Brilliant Moneytree Reviews/EP Out Today!

Moneytree have had a busy old month, with their successful UK tour going down a treat in towns all over the country and the release of their EP The Great Indoors Part III. The seven track EP has been really well received by the music fraternity with the likes of Rock Sound (8/10), Room Thirteen (9/13), The 405 (9/10) and Contactmusic.com all giving the record quite brilliant reviews.
The latest outstanding reviews come from the websites Love Shack Baby and Alter The Press.
First up Love Shack Baby had this to say:
"For what I hear on this EP is certainly not tame, not what most casual listeners would choose to put on their workout mixtapes. But it’s interesting, and captivating to anyone who listens to music intently and appreciates those twisty, unexpected paths." - Love Shack Baby
You can read the full article HERE.
Alter The Press continued the critical acclaim by giving the EP a storming 4/5!
" ‘The Great Indoors: Part III’ is a slow burn. It’s a nuanced, emotive, creative; alt rock at its best. It’s heavily percussion led in parts but balances out with a consistent guitar sound and a whole host of other instruments that both blend in and stand out at the same time. Moneytree combine a variety of genres to create something original but familiar feeling and really show off what they’re capable of." - Alter The Press

The EP is available to buy now and can be purchased form iTunes and from the Sotones Records website.

Introducing… Moneytree - “The Great Indoors Part III”

Moneytree
The Great Indoors Part III (EP) | 25th October 2010
Moneytree return with the third part of The Great Indoors triptych. The record continues the theme of the previous two EP’s with the band collaborating with various musicians, producing an organic, exciting sound unique only to Moneytree.
The Great Indoors Part III takes the band’s intricate alternative sound to a whole new level. This record sees collaborations with Band Of Skulls on the track “Grave & Aloof” and Thomas Tantrum, The Moulettes and Histories Of Rosenberg on the song “World of Autumn”. The eclectic sound of the record is reinforced by a multitude of musicians playing a plethora of instruments including horns, cellos, likembe (thumb piano), a percussion group and even a saw!

The raw sound is brought together beautifully by producer Joe Gibb who has worked with The Kinks, David Bowie, Madonna, Leftfield and Million Dead and marks the return of singer Campbell Austin’s voice after a year long sabbatical due to a growth on his larynx. Not that you’d notice though. He shows no ill effects of the break with his voice showing-up fantastically on tracks such as “Medicineland”, which will be the track included on Sotones sampler 1,313.
The Science of Gambling is available to stream HERE and the EP is released on 25th October 2010.
